Are you using macOS? Then please read this important information
Installing the latest version, macOS 10.15 Catalina, may disable drivers you had installed on the previous macOS version (e.g. 10.14 Mojave). Devices that use these drivers may therefore not work properly with macOS Catalina until you reinstall the drivers and enable them in Security&Privacy settings.
Here are the drivers you can currently use and install into macOS Catalina:
a) DisplayLink driver (5.2) designed for macOS Mojave (previous version).
b) DisplayLink driver (5.2.1 ) designed specifically for macOS Catalina. However, since this driver is still in Beta, we recommend installing it only if you encounter problems you cannot resolve using steps 1) and 2) below.
1) If your docking station no longer functions after updating to macOS 10.15 Catalina, please check the Apple menu to see whether the DisplayLink driver has been loaded:
About this Mac –> System report –> Extensions and look for DisplayLinkDriver (loading may take a few moments – depends on the amount of installed software).
If the DisplayLink driver is not loaded, please follow these instructions.
2) In some cases, external monitors still may not function even though the DisplayLink driver is loaded. In that case, you must enable the DisplayLink driver for other screens in Security & Privacy settings.
3) In some cases, either external monitors will only show a black screen or only one external monitor will function. In that case, please follow these instructions.
If following the steps above still does not resolve the issues caused by upgrading to macOS Catalina, or if you have any other questions, please contact us at support@itecproduct.com.
